Modern agriculture faces a dual challenge: feeding a growing population while minimizing environmental harm. Excessive nitrogen fertilizer use pollutes water, harms biodiversity, and emits potent greenhouse gases. We propose a precision agriculture solution that combines drones, soil sensors, and a mechanistic nitrogen model to monitor field conditions and optimize irrigation and fertilization. This approach enhances nitrogen use efficiency and reduces ecological damage. Our research highlights how smart, data-driven farming practices can promote sustainable food production while protecting the planet’s natural resources.
