Overhauling Library Engagement with First-Year Students: Where to from Here?

Engineering, Science, and Technology (STEM) Librarians Community of Practice Workshop - Australasian Association for Engineering Education (A2E2) 2019 Conference

This presentation outlined the re-design of a research skills workshop for first-year Engineering students at Monash University - introducing pre-workshop assessment, and an active learning pedagogy. The presentation also highlighted some expected changes on the horizon regarding how the workshop will be structured, as well as to the theoretical underpinnings used to build students' critical evaluation skills.
