Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing and Confined Placental Mosaicism

My research subject is non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), a screening offered in pregnancy to detect fetal chromosome anomalies. In my research, we investigate whether false-positive NIPT results may be attributable to genetic anomalies confined to the placenta, and the subsequent consequences to fetal development.
