Teaching practices in uncertain times - blended, hybrid, and face-to-face.
ABSTRACT: Creating inclusive and engaging online learning environments for synchronous workshops can be challenging, especially at times when a large percentage of the cohort prefers to remain silent and anonymous. This talk will highlight strategies and some of the successes the Science Faculty Library team have had in increasing/enhancing student participation. We have found that through improved communications, experimenting with technology, the use of positive reinforcement, and re-framing expectations, we were able to better achieve the desired outcomes for the class.
