Exploring the Impact of Gamification on Early Primary Piano Students' Practice Habits and Engagement

My research explores how gamified digital tools can support independent home practice for young piano students. Many early learners struggle with motivation and autonomy when practising alone, especially without musically literate parents. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory, this study examines whether gamified tools can support competence, autonomy, and engagement between lessons, helping students stay on track and keep their musical spark alive at home.
