The number of patients attending Emergency Departments (ED) are rising globally and waiting times are often long. Patients in pain and with serious conditions should be identified as early as possible. Radiographers are the first health professional to see an abnormality on x-rays. The project seeks to utilise radiographers for the early identification of abnormal x-ray appearances in real time. A model was developed to communicate such findings to the ED team using a fast, digital and formally documented radiographer comment and alert.
