Tuanku Rao: Hambali Islamic Terror in the Batak Lands (1816-1833). Tuanku Rao (1790-1833) was a West Sumatran Islamic leader who fought in the Padri War (also known as the Minangkabau War) in an effort to impose Sharia law in the region. This book deals with the conflict in Batak territory during the earlier half of the 19th century. Published in Jakarta by Tandjung Pengharapan publishers in 1964.
