A series of primary strike slip analogue modelling experiments, conducted with the purpose of investigating the evolution of the Marlborough Fault System, South Island New Zealand.
Experiment 1 contains no anisotropies in the lower crust.
Experiment 2 contains four anisotropies in the lower crust, parallel to plate motion.
Experiment 3 contains four anisotropies in the lower crust at 080 to plate motion
