'Sean McManus.
Born Arigna, Co Roscommon 1942. Learned to play as child, aware of strong musical tradtion in the area. Plays in local group as teenager. Emigrated to London, 1958. Plays in the lively London-Irish music scene in pubs in Camden Town, Highbury and others. Emigrated to Australia 1968. Joined one of the first Irish music groups in Australia, The Ramblers, active from 1970-5. Plays in various groups through 1970s and 1980s.'
