Walking through Lightning: a peripatetic bioregional reading of a novel

Abstract: This essay is an experiment in bioregional reading practices and an exploration of local knowledge, foot travel and thinking about setting. The various sections of the essay have taken place over time and are written as a series of fragments and diary entries. It is, in some ways, an experiment potentially without end insofar as both novels and landscapes are inexhaustible.
