TAFE IT graduates: the puzzle of poor employment outcomes

Recent surveys of the employment status of TAFE IT graduates show a high proportion are unemployed six months after completing their course. Unemployment rates are particularly high for graduates without previous work experience. This is a puzzling outcome given employer complaints about shortages of IT specialists.
