The challenge dual citizenship poses for the Australian Government is how to reconcile the goal of encouraging a sense of Australian community with the maintenance of multiple national loyalties. This paper explores one aspect of this dilemma. It examines the ways some diaspora communities in Australia are being involved in the affairs of their countries of origin by the governments of these countries.
