Intermix and Australia's indigenous population

This note examines the extent of intermix amongst married and de facto couples in which at least one member is an Indigenous person. The inquiry concludes that most Indigenous couples in Australia are intermixed in the sense that they involve a non-Indigenous party and that the proportion of such couples is increasing. Also most of the children currently identified as Indigenous are the product of parents only one of whom is Indigenous Copyright. Monash University and the author/s
