Over the past few decades the inflow of overseas migrants has transformed the United States from a largely biracial society to a multi-ethnic society. This paper explores the implications of this diversity via indicators of racial/ethnic markers including intermarriage and residential segregation. On the basis of this review the article concludes that the inter-relations between racial/ethnic groups in the United States are improving. Copyright. Monash University and the author/s
