Economic prosperity and subjective well-being: comparing the aged in Australia and urban China

This article explores measures of life satisfaction amongst persons aged 60+ in China and Australia where there is a vast gulf in per capita income. On most of the measures examined, the Chinese indicate similar levels of life satisfaction to their richer Australian counterparts.
