This paper will look at a model of practice developed in rural Victoria that seeks to enable men to take responsibility for their abusive behaviour and to commit to a process of behaviour change. The SHED (Self-Help Ending Domestics) Project uses a constructivist approach to challenging men's violence against women and children and it encompasses assessment, groupwork, and an integrated, collaborative model of intervention between agencies.
