This figure illustrates the phylogeny of the spiny mouse CRH gene. It was produced using the "onestep" platform (http://www.phylogeny.fr/simple_phylogeny.cgi). In brief, spiny mouse sequences for CRH were extracted from the draft transcriptome (spinymouse.erc.monash.edu/sequenceserver/), aligned (MUSCLE), curated (Gblocks), compared to other vertebrate species (PhyML), and a tree dendrogram was drawn (TreeDyn).
