Taken during May 1969-April 1970 this is a collection of photographs showing the wide variety of people and some of their more common daily activities in Kathmandu. These activities include dressing in one's best for religious ceremonies, the initiation of two young girls into the Buddhist priestly caste of the Baré, various street sellers, a family feast in which men serve women, bathing in public, sitting in beautiful locations especially windows, garland and flute vendors, public bathing, a young Tibetan monk in a window and a nun with a prayer wheel, as well as several photographs of Tibetans dressed in their finest clothes taken at New Year celebrations.
