艾滋病是一种什么样的疾病？
艾滋病的医学全称是“获得性免疫缺陷综合征”（AIDS），由艾滋病病毒（HIV）感染引起，主要损害人体的免疫系统。
艾滋病是一种可以治疗的慢性传染病，国家现在对艾滋病病人提供免费的抗病毒治疗药物。
及早知道自己是否感染了艾滋病，适时服用抗病毒药物，可以像患有糖尿病或高血压的病人一样正常生活、工作。
如何知道是否感染艾滋病病毒？
必须到正规的艾滋病检测机构抽血化验，检查血液中的艾滋病病毒抗体。只有艾滋病病毒抗体经免疫印迹确认结果阳性才能诊断为艾滋病病毒感染。
我国常规的艾滋病病毒抗体检测程序是什么？
我国常规艾滋病病毒抗体检测包括初筛试验和确认试验。凡初筛试验阳性者必须做确认试验，确认试验阳性者方可诊断为艾滋病病毒感染。
确认试验只能在具有艾滋病病毒确认资格的实验室内进行。
初筛试验-->阳性-->确认试验-->阳性-->艾滋病病毒感染
什么是艾滋病自愿咨询检测（VCT）？
艾滋病自愿咨询检测是指人们通过咨询，在充分知情和完全保密的情况下，自愿选择是否接受艾滋病病毒抗体检测、改变危险行为及获得相关服务的过程。
VCT已成为许多艾滋病预防控制工作，如艾滋病抗病毒治疗、预防母婴传播、行为干预、关怀、减少歧视等项目的切入点和枢纽，成为世界各国艾滋病预防的重要公共卫生策略之一。
重要提示：自愿接受艾滋病咨询、检测的人员在自愿咨询检测服务机构可享受保密的、免费的咨询和初筛检测服务。
什么情况下应考虑去做艾滋病病毒抗体检测？
有下列情况应考虑去做艾滋病病毒抗体检测：
1、曾经有过高危险行为的人。如暗娼、嫖客、多性伴者、同性性接触者，公用注射器具的吸毒者及他们的性伴等；
2、在艾滋病病毒感染者较多的地区或血液安全没有保障的条件下接受过输血的人；
3、艾滋病病毒抗体检测阳性的妇女所生的婴儿；
4、配偶是艾滋病病毒抗体检测阳性者。
到哪里可以进行咨询和检测？
1、广州市和各区疾病预防控制中心、各社区卫生服务中心和镇卫生院提供免费的艾滋病检测咨询服务；
2、部分省、市、区级医院；

What kind of disease is AIDS?
The full medical name of AIDS is "Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome" (AIDS), which is caused by HIV infection and mainly damages the body's immune system.
AIDS is a chronic infectious disease that can be treated, and the country now provides free antiretroviral drugs to AIDS patients.
Knowing whether you are infected with AIDS early and taking antiviral drugs at the right time can help you live and work normally like a patient with diabetes or high blood pressure.
How do I know if I have HIV?
You must go to a regular AIDS testing institution for a blood test to check HIV antibodies in the blood. HIV infection can only be diagnosed if HIV antibodies are confirmed positive by immunoblotting.
What is the routine HIV antibody testing procedure in my country?
Routine HIV antibody testing in our country includes a primary screening test and a confirmatory test. Those who are positive in the preliminary screening test must do a confirmation test, and those who are positive in the confirmation test can be diagnosed with HIV infection.
Confirmatory tests can only be performed in laboratories qualified for HIV confirmation.

What is Voluntary HIV Counseling and Testing (VCT)?
Voluntary HIV counseling and testing refers to the process in which people voluntarily choose whether to undergo HIV antibody testing, change risky behaviors and access related services through counseling, in the context of being fully informed and completely confidential.
VCT has become the entry point and hub of many HIV prevention and control work, such as HIV antiretroviral treatment, prevention of mother-to-child transmission, behavioral intervention, care, and discrimination reduction, and has become one of the important public health strategies for HIV prevention in countries around the world.
Important reminder: People who voluntarily receive HIV counseling and testing can enjoy confidential, free counseling and primary screening and testing services in voluntary counseling and testing service agencies.
When should HIV antibody testing be considered?
HIV antibody testing should be considered in the following situations:
1. People who have had high risk behaviors. Such as prostitutes, clients of prostitutes, multiple sexual partners, same-sex sexual contacts, drug addicts who use public injection equipment and their sexual partners, etc.;
2. People who have received blood transfusions in areas with many HIV-infected people or under conditions where blood safety is not guaranteed;
3. Infants born to women who tested positive for HIV antibodies;
4. The spouse is HIV-positive.
