楼梯是消防通道、公共区域,垃圾长期堆放在楼梯容易滋生蚊虫、产生异味,为了您及家人的健康和幸福,请您多走几步,顺手把垃圾投放到楼下的垃圾桶。

生活垃圾分类工作答疑

1、问:为什么要进行生活垃圾分类?

答:广州每天排放生活垃圾约2.2万吨,相当于4000头成年大象的重量,“垃圾围城”就在眼前,只有进行垃圾分类,加强资源回收利用,减少垃圾量,才能突破“垃圾围城”的环境危机。

2、问:进行生活垃圾分类有什么意义?

答: ① 减少占地:生活垃圾中有些物质不易降解,使土地受到严重侵蚀。垃圾分类,去掉能回收的、不易降解的物质,减少垃圾数量达30%-40%。

 ② 减少环境污染:废充电电池、废扣式电池含有金属汞、镉等有毒的物质,会对人类产生严重的危害;土壤中的废塑料会导致农作物减产;抛弃的废塑料被动物误食,导致动物死亡的事故时有发生。因此回收利用可以减少危害。

 ③ 变废为宝:回收1吨废纸可造好纸850公斤,节省木材300公斤,比等量生产减少污染74%;回收1吨塑料饮料瓶可获得0.7吨二级原料;回收1吨废塑料可回炼600公斤的柴油;回收1吨废钢铁可炼好钢0.9吨,比用矿石冶炼节约成本47%,减少空气污染75%,减少97%的水污染和固体废物。一吨易拉罐熔化后能结成一吨很好的铝块,可以少采20吨铝矿。餐厨垃圾经生物技术处理,每吨可生产0.3吨有机肥料。

3、问:垃圾分类如何变废为宝?

答:从目前已有的垃圾分类试点模式的探索情况看,采用定时定点分类投放收运模式最有利于提高生活垃圾减量化、资源化、无害化水平。

采用“定时定点”模式有以下几个好处:

① 可以大量减少分类垃圾桶的经费投入。

② 可以减少大量分散的垃圾收集点对居民自身生活环境的影响。

③ 有利于垃圾分类的推广实施。

④ 有利于提高社区的管理水平,为居民创造一个更加整洁文明的环境。

Please put recyclables (paper, metal, plastic, etc.) and low value-added items (plastic bags, food packaging bags, old clothes, glass bottles, etc.) into the "recyclables" bucket or take them to the convenience point of the community for sale; lamps, rechargeable batteries, expired medicines and other hazardous wastes are placed in the red "hazardous waste" bin; the key to realizing waste classification is to put the kitchen waste such as leftover meals, bone spurs, melon and fruit peels, eggshells, etc. to the green "kitchen waste" bin; other wastes go to the grey "other waste" bin.
Stairs are fire escapes and public areas. Garbage piled on the stairs for a long time is easy to breed mosquitoes and produce peculiar smell. For the health and happiness of you and your family, please take a few more steps and put the garbage into the trash bin downstairs.

Questions and answers on domestic waste classification work
1. Q: Why should domestic waste be sorted?
Answer: Guangzhou discharges about 22,000 tons of domestic waste every day, which is equivalent to the weight of 4,000 adult elephants. The "garbage siege" is just around the corner. Only by sorting garbage, strengthening resource recycling and reducing the amount of garbage can we break through the "garbage siege" environmental crisis.

2. Q: What is the significance of sorting household waste?
Answer: ①Reduce land occupation: Some substances in domestic garbage are not easy to degrade, which makes the land seriously eroded. Garbage classification can remove recyclable and non-degradable substances, and reduce the amount of garbage by 30%-40%.
② Reduce environmental pollution: Waste rechargeable batteries and waste button batteries contain toxic substances such as metallic mercury and cadmium, which will cause serious harm to human beings; waste plastics in the soil will reduce crop yields; if discarded waste plastics are eaten by animals, accidents that result in animal deaths occur from time to time. So recycling can reduce harm.
③ Turn waste into treasure: Recycling 1 ton of waste paper can make 850 kilograms of good paper, saving 300 kilograms of wood, and reducing pollution by 74% compared with equivalent production; recycling 1 ton of plastic beverage bottles can obtain 0.7 ton of secondary raw materials; recycling 1 ton of waste plastics can be recycled into 600 kilograms of diesel; 1 ton of scrap steel can be recycled into 0.9 tons of steel, which is 47% cheaper than ore smelting, 75% less air pollution, and 97% less water pollution and solid waste. One ton of cans can be melted into one ton of good aluminum blocks, which can save 20 tons of aluminum ore. The kitchen waste is processed by biotechnology, and each ton can produce 0.3 tons of organic fertilizer.

3. Q: How does garbage classification turn waste into treasure?
Answer: Judging from the current exploration of the existing waste classification pilot model, the adoption of the regular and fixed-point classification and delivery model is most conducive to improving the level of domestic waste reduction, recycling, and harmlessness.
There are several benefits of using the "timed fixed-point" mode:
① It can greatly reduce the investment in sorting trash cans.
② It can reduce the impact of a large number of scattered garbage collection points on the residents' own living environment.
③ Conducive to the promotion and implementation of garbage classification.
④ It is beneficial to improve the management level of the community and create a cleaner and more civilized environment for the residents.
