The leadership of the Chinese Communist Party is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics 

Article 1 of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China: 

The People’s Republic of China is a socialist country under the people’s democratic dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and farmers. 

The socialist system is the fundamental system of the People's Republic of China. The leadership of the Chinese Communist Party is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Any organization or individual is prohibited from sabotaging the socialist system.
