“It might seem to some that color is synonymous with decoration, but I try to use color objectively… I do not use color for effect.” Sol LeWitt, 2003.

This piece takes direct inspiration from the drawings of conceptual artist Sol LeWitt, and his statements that liken his art practice to that of composers of music. Using primary and secondary colour, and simple almost minimalist line drawing, the score contracts the short straight line with the curved continuous, as guides for musical structure. The piece was written during a residency at the Visby Centre for International Composers, supported by the AMC and ISCM.
