Dataset from user study investigating the effect of teaching using natural language while interacting with a virtual conversational agent on learning outcomes and engagement. The deidentified dataset contains interaction data from n=46 participants during their teaching interaction with the Curiosity Notebook teaching interface, as well as survey responses and knowledge assessment results. The user study was reviewed and received ethics approval through the Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (Project ID: 26087).
