Abstract

Moore’s Law, defined in the sixties, predicts a monotonic increase in available computing power with time. With the commodification of high performance microprocessors, very large amounts of computing power are now readily available in the open market, at very modest cost. This paper will explore some of the implications of this phenomenon for IW in the coming decades, and propose some guidelines for IW strategists and planners.
