Turning metaphors into reality: Balinese spatial metaphors and their manifestation in the traditional Balinese house compound
conference contributionposted on 25.02.2019, 06:40 authored by Gede Primahadi Wijaya RajegGede Primahadi Wijaya Rajeg
Abstract accepted for presentation at the Researching and Applying Metaphor (RaAM) 11 Conference at the Freie Universität Berlin (1-4 July 2016).
The presentation was eventually cancelled due to unexpected family circumstance. The idea in this abstract needs further elaboration. Evidence from other modalities (e.g., linguistic expressions, gesture, ritual act, etc.) are required to support the conceptual, spatial metaphors for socio-cultural and religious values in Balinese.
