This story comes from research about how people in Eastern Indonesia learn to face climate change. Climate change is a big problem, and some people feel the effects more, especially older people, women, and people with disabilities. This research focuses on places where climate change is a big challenge. It also helps people share their stories through the research project: “Developing a Model of Future-proofing for Climate Resilience by Engaging Communities in Eastern Indonesia.”
This research is part of the KONEKSI Project, supported by the governments of Australia and Indonesia. It is done by Monash University Australia, Monash University Indonesia, and other partners.
We hope this book helps many people be stronger and ready for the future.
Thank you to everyone who joined this research, especially the people in Kupang, Lombok, and Makassar who shared their stories. Thank you also to the researchers from Indonesia and Australia who worked very hard.
