VOLUMINUM

Voluminum is a composition by Cat Hope (2023) for concert organ, bass guitar, electric guitar, harp and percussion.

This work is dedicated to György Ligeti, who has been an enormous inspiration to me as a composer. The work is designed as a companion piece to a new typeset, animated notation score for Ligeti's Volumina (1966) - a work completed on the year of my birth. This work was written for my duo Super Luminum with special quests Bonnie Mercer, Louise Devenish and Mary Doumany.
