Bind is a textile score that explores silence as a learned skill - how can we speculate creative ways of working through the knots of censorship and restriction? Performers are tied together with ribbons, reading the sensations of textiles as sensory-erotic scores and experimenting with how they can push and pull each-other's sounds. This is the first version of the work, leading to the development of the experimental opera Knots that Bind.

This performance features Alexander Meagher, Jasmin Leung, Darlene Aaron and Iran Sanadzadeh. The work was written during professional development as part of Speak Percussion's Bespoke program, performed at the program's showcase at Darebin Arts Centre. The performance was supported by the Robert Salzer Foundation.
