This thesis explores links between preeclampsia and future cardiovascular disease by evaluating the clinical significance of chronic high blood pressure both before and after pregnancy. Strategies to improve detection and follow-up of blood pressure after pregnancy were explored, and nurse-initiated health screening shows promise in identifying women needing further care for high blood pressure.
