Teacher Language Awareness: The missing link in an English language teacher education program in Saudi Arabia.

This research investigated one of Saudi Arabia’s English language teacher education programs. I explored the structure, content, and execution of language teacher education in light of a model for educating language teachers. This model is known as TLA (Teacher Language Awareness). It encompasses three domains; the user domain, development of teacher language use and ability, the analyst domain, development of teacher knowledge of the language systems and grammar, and finally, the teacher domain, development of teacher ability and skills.
