Making Memories: Intersections in Memory, the Law and First World War Fiction

thesis
posted on 2019-10-09, 04:29 authored by CAMILLE REBEKAH ECKHAUS
Through a novel and an exegesis, Making Memories explores the intersections between remembering, forgetting and the law within the context of the First World War. Crucially, it addresses how the need to establish a coherent narrative that accords with a social group’s view of the war allowed, and continues to provide, for certain elements to be forgotten or overlooked while others are repeated.
