Linguistic diversity in south-east Melbourne

This article describes the language demography of the three local government areas, with some comparisons with other parts of Melbourne, taking into account age profiles. The value of such linguistic diversity and the challenges it presents in terms of service provision and other language policy issues are also discussed.
