This thesis highlights the impact of stroke around the world, and potential strategies to identify and reduce evidence-to-practice gaps in stroke care. The evidence from this thesis could also help inform policy and practice decisions on how to better support survivors of stroke with anxiety and depression in the early period following stroke, and strategies to reduce these consequences when in the community.
