Graphene Oxide-Based Thin Film Nanocomposite Membranes for Water Purification

thesis
posted on 2018-12-08, 05:10 authored by WANG ZHAO
This dissertation aims to develop high performance TFC membrane via GO incorporation for water processing. Three types of GO incorporated TFN membranes are synthesized via novel strategies and studied systematically. The results demonstrate that GO incorporation is an effective approach to enhance TFC membrane performance in terms of flux and salt rejection. Furthermore, the designed novel incorporation strategies allow GO to facilitate IP reaction at low monomer concentration and confine the IP reaction interface and polyamide growth on microfiltration substrate, which bring insights into the future TFN membrane design and application.
