Experimental investigation and Mathematical modelling of CO2 gasification of biomass in an entrained flow reactor at high temperature

thesis
posted on 2018-10-21, 22:52 authored by MAHMUD ARMAN KIBRIA
This PhD thesis involves an investigation using an extensive Australian renewable resource - Pine bark biomass (sp. Pinus Radiata) – through kinetic modelling of single and multiple particles, and validation experiments under high temperature entrained flow pyrolysis and gasification condition using CO2 as a gasifying agent. Key scientific issues related to the entrained flow gasification and pyrolysis of biomass at high temperature have been identified and addressed through experiments and numerical modelling.
