This research investigated the potential health effects from exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic energy. Various sources of uncertainty in study designs and exposure assessment practices have led to inconsistent findings in the previous research. This thesis developed techniques to improve the research methodology in this field through improved statistical analysis methods and exposure assessment techniques. Furthermore, as a precautionary measure, this research identified practical measures to reduce environmental and personal radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure.
