Development of Sliding Mode Observer Schemes for Infinitely Unobservable Descriptor Systems JOSEPH CHANG LUN CHAN 10.26180/5c939ff7e32c8 https://bridges.monash.edu/articles/thesis/Development_of_Sliding_Mode_Observer_Schemes_for_Infinitely_Unobservable_Descriptor_Systems/7874237 This thesis examines the use of observers as a method to estimate unmeasured signals. Existing observer schemes may require additional sensors, or do not account for uncertainties in the system. The work presented in this thesis circumvent these requirements by re-expressing the system into a form compatible with existing sliding mode observer schemes. Furthermore, the observers are designed such that the effects of uncertainties on the estimates are minimised. The observer schemes are thus applicable to a wider range of systems compared to those found in the literature. 2020-02-06 04:11:09 state estimation fault reconstruction robust fault reconstruction sliding mode observer observer descriptor systems infinite observability estimation Control Systems, Robotics and Automation
