Although further long-term and economic research is required to identify the net effect of this service, this thesis identifies that hospital length of stay, discharge destination (home versus inpatient rehabilitation) and patient reported mobility may be appropriate outcomes measures upon which to base further experimental research. This thesis also identifies ways in which the current allied health service for this population can potentially be optimised. %I Monash University
