A series of studies to elucidate the mechanism of antibody functionality loss on paper and other cellulosic surface, focusing on the chemical interactions. This thesis lead to structured projects to quantify the different aspects of the antibody-surface interaction under moist-dry condition, including the paper ingredients (cellulose and polymeric additive), environmental variables (relative humidity, RH), chemical surface composition (cellulosic thin films and paper) and type of antibodies (IgG and IgM antibodies).
