A model for the development of structure in voluntary not-for-profits WalkerBeverly C HaslettTim 2017 This paper is an account of structural changes that came about in the process of an action research project undertaken in a not-for-profit Members serving community disability service organisation. With the growth of externally funded services there was an increased requirement for count ability in the administration of those funds and the development of structures to meet accountabilities external to the organisation in addition to the Members. The interacting issues that arose between governance and management as a result of manger endeavours to discharge their responsibilities to their Board and its strategic directions were significant.
