Internet filtering, and the regulatory mechanisms supporting it, have become the subject of increasing interest to public policy makers as more governments investigate its uses, stimulating substantial international studies and a diverse literature including parliamentary records and extensive media and online coverage. The recent Australian Government proposal for an ISP-level web content filtering scheme, predicated on the perceived interests of young people in the online environment, is the main focus of this structured bibliography.
