TRINH, ANNE The Optimisation of Bone Health in Chronic Neurological Conditions As life expectancy in people with chronic neurological conditions such as spina bifida and cerebral palsy improves, thin bones and broken bones are emerging as health issues for these patients. This thesis examines different ways of assessing bone health in these individuals, what causes poor bone health and what treatments may be effective. This can then be used to develop guidelines to help clinicians best manage bone health in those with chronic disability. cerebral palsy;spina bifida;osteoporosis;Disability Studies;Endocrinology;Neurology and Neuromuscular Diseases 2020-02-14
